Privacy Policy

The short version

• No accounts. We don't ask for your name, email or any personal details.
• Your answers and progress stay on your device.
• No ads, no analytics, no tracking.
• We never sell your information.

Information on your device

YOYO saves your answers, scores and settings on your device so you can pick up where you left off. This information is not sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it.

AI features

Two optional features use AI and need an internet connection:

• Lessons: the question and its answer choices are sent to generate an explanation.
• Checking written answers: the question, its mark scheme and the answer you typed are sent to be marked.

This is sent to OpenAI, which generates the response. We don't store it, and it isn't linked to you. Please don't type personal information into your answers. OpenAI handles data under its own privacy policy.

Service providers

Our server is hosted by Railway, and AI responses come from OpenAI. They only receive what's needed to provide those features.

Children

YOYO is made for students. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, show ads or build profiles about anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
